Authentication of marital intentions for Turkey
An English lady come to see me as she was planning to marry her Turkish boyfriend in Turkey and needed to get a document authenticated, confirming her ability to be married there. She had downloaded the relevant form from the gov.uk website. I checked her identity, checked that she was happy that all the details she had completed on the form were correct and I then took her declaration and notarised the form. I also arranged for the document to have an Apostille fixed to it so that it would be accepted by the authorities in Turkey to enable her to marry there.
